I think implementing base product production (iron, food, wood, etc.) can be done very quickly, it would be some of the addtional things being discussed that would require a little more effort in order to make right.

If nothing else all products could be produced without a cost to help restore port stock, while the rest is figured out. I don't know how much longer the current stock will last, Goroum is at 300M and its the lowest, but I don't know how fast its stock is decreasing. I might monitor it for a while to see unless Captain Jack is willing to share the numbers.

Edit- said almost 10M crates were delivered to it yesterday, so that means about 10M food was sent out. If that's its average per day then we have about a month before its depleted.

A month is not a long period of time, when it comes to program development.

Ok lets take a look at your tools requiring food and iron. Tools sell at 16-18. Iron sells at 9-11 and food sells at 4-6. Which means you need to spend atleast 13-17gc in resources. You cut your profit margin to nothing.

But your assuming that 1 tool requires 1 iron and 1 food to make. This doesn't HAVE to be the case. For example we could make it to where 1 iron and 1 food makes 10 tools. Or 1 to 5 ratio or some other formula that could be discussed. It won't be hard to figure out a way to make it to where tools need iron and food to be produced and keeping it profitable, just need to find a good ratio to keep it profitable, but not by too much.

I swear it said 300M to me a moment ago, but maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. Regardless that's still only about a month maybe a month and a half before its depleted, and that isn't much time.

330 million should last quite a while. Let's be frank, there isn't that many active players in the mix.

well when I check Goroum in the court page, it says about 9M crates were delivered to it yesterday-which means that about 9M food crates were taken out. 330 divided by 9 is about 36-37 days. Now I don't know if that 9M yesterday was about average for it, way above average, or below. But assuming that is its average daily, then we have about over a month. Now if that was just a good day and the average is oh lets say 5M, that gives us 65 days, or about 2 months. But even if we say the actual average is 1m-and that is really lowballing it, then we still have less then a year.

Okay so what I don't understand is how a grain farm would improve the stock in a food port. If I own a food plantation I would never sell my produce in that port, I would simply devote some ships to taking it wherever it sells for the most profit. I'm not sure I understand the mechanics of these plantations. Would they automatically sell to the port and then the port sells again? Or is it stored in my warehouse after production? Are the plantations expected to act as a supplement to the port so that some players are pulling from there own production rather than the ports?

Fen, 330 million is 330,000K. The same number just written differently.
