What are you talking about? I was thinking of buccaneers, not some stupid vikings.

Wowow, stupid Vikings. Let's not piss off a wolfship with her crew. Else, I'll personally come and Viking your coasts. Just like my ancestors did.

Can we get the market prices down though? 5 credits for a level 1 LMM... No thanks.

My coasts have cannons, which with a couple of shots, will blow your little Viking ships in half.

I also have guns, more people, better trained people, there's no way a group of Vikings could take an 18th century city.

Unless they get really close, then guns won’t be so effective against a massive hoard of axe, sword wielding maniacs

Gross underestimation of Vikings. The Age of the Vikings ended not as a result of defeat but cultural and religious assimilation. Viking rulers became friendly with their neighbors and as such their raids and aggression were focused towards other aspects such as the Crusades. If 18th century tech existed for Vikings, they would have been an even more formidable force and the raids would likely have been worse.

And how are pirates better trained than Vikings?

I'm not saying they weren't trained, I'm comparing a group of Vikings with tech from their time and 18ty century pirates nad soldiers with their tech.

Most pirates were privateers from Queen Anne's war and were very well trained and battle hardened. Pirates have cannons, if a Viking ship sailed up to a pirate brig with the intention of boarding, they'd get blown out of the water. It really depends on the situation and the group of pirates we are talking about here. Pirates were nit a group of idiots with a boat, that were vicious battle-hardened killers. Especially Henry Morgan and the brethren of the coast.

Yes, but I don’t think cannons have anything to do with experience, well maybe loading and firing does, but you don’t need experience to own one

No. But all pirates, even the unsuccessful ones, were good gunners, and all had experience.
