Guild news and announcements, war declarations, recruitment, military service offerings, etc.

Flaming is expected here. If you are easily offended, avoid this thread all together.

Attacks here and there are to be expected. They learn from it and find the style they are comfortable with adopting and grow into it. Guild wars and massive conflicts are not something I would agree with. Neither is doing the whole childish running your mouth off teasing other players.
If someone thinks they are big enough to talk the talk, then they better be ready to what may come their way.

I agree with both of you. Players shouldn't be regularly targeting training guilds nor should training guilds be involved in massive conflicts.

The problem comes from both sides of the road. There are players that use the training guild and the protection provided by its leader as a haven, and there are players that mine training guilds.

I think the solution lies in what I would call player turnover. There has to be a reasonable point for a player to no longer need a training guild. As well, players that are veteran players, should be able to handle a raid on them. If they can't take being hit, they should rethink playing the game.

I agree with much that has been said. I am going to keep my input simple and short.

1. Training Guilds should never be farmed, I tried to change piracy by adding certain raid limits... not all agreed apparently. They should also never house veterans that are not there solely to train. If your going to cause problems, move on.

2. Harlock, some things are not worth pursuing given certain circumstances and positions. Lite hits like HNs can easily be overlooked and likely the assailant will move on and forget quite quickly if done so. Antagonizing them and others in the forums is the quickest way to put those you are trying to protect directly in the cross-hairs.

3. PRO, if anything, this shows exactly what your word is worth. Chalk it up however anyone likes, but SSAA was in the cease fire which PRO agreed to and was paid for.

This game has got soft for way too long and there is way too much crying and whining in the forums. If Juicy and Co. was still around then people would really have something to cry about. There isn't a guild in Avonmora right now that I consider off limits. I walked a hard road when I started, I got my first ship of the line and made it level 2, the first time I flashed it on the plunder board Silver Fox put it on the sea floor. I, for one, hope this launches a rebirth of savagery and penance for those who like to run their mouths or ***** at every turn.

Pretty sure Harlock instigated a fight that essentially nullified this agreement. Not sure why you have gone all carebear pirate, that isn't the Vane I know...

When there isn't someone rocking the boat, this game is like watching the grass grow. If I was new and started playing this game and saw empty plunder boards, heard no tales from guildmates about how some savage pirate just attacked them, I'd probably quick. Inaction is dull.

Im not excusing Harlock from anything, I would like to know where he was the one to break this first?

As for carebear pirate, not sure how you got that out of my statement.

No one and no guild is off limits. I guess what we are relatively all agreeing to is that training guilds should not be considered an easy target so we allow new players to stay in the game. We also agree that veteran players should not stay in a training guild for so long with the exception of guild instructors. If the learned enough perhaps bit is time to spread wings with a more permanent guild or go solo.

There isn't a true training guild in Avonmora right now. I know Helm and Ravenlocke Brethren have made that claim in the past and while I know they take a lot of new players in, there are too many veteran players in either of those guilds to keep me from attacking them. I look at ID number rather than guild when I consider my actions against players. There are certain things that they should be prepared for though. Like I don't care if a guy started yesterday, if he didn't build a hideout and hits marquess, he can kiss that MoW goodbye.
