+1 To this wishlist, and Daniks comment on transferable ship customization.

Technically, you're already implemented in the game, so why add you to a wishlist? :P

This right here should be the forefront priority in any new feature to be considered for implementation in this game :y

I like the way you think SHM. And rather than complaining about an issue, actually thinking about a solution, and working it out in details.

-1 Mostly because everyone else +1 and there should be a dissenting opinion.

No voodoo. All voodoo should be able to be phased out into another mechanism. If you can't think of a way to phase it into a ship/fleet/battle mechanism, it should be eliminated.

Spoiler: show
Sorry, SHM. I just had to -1. An opportunity to be a naysayer and disagree was something that I had to. I agree with almost everything you stated and would be more than happy if the game got to this point, but I suspect that this point will never be reached without completely phasing out voodoo.

When the game first started, it needed voodoo to generate 'situations" that resulted in combat. It became a wonderful way to influence many game aspects.
There is still a place for voodoo but like almost everyone else, as the game develops and matures, I would like to see less reliance on voodoo and more abilities with ships that take voodoo's place in many scenarios. I think voodoo will always have a place in the game but hopefully be less reliant on it to do stuff

I understand that; however, for those situations, the use of those voodoo should have only existed until a mechanic was built to replace it. I was at one point the same way as SHM and how a bunch feel now where we should slim down the dependency but still keep some voodoo, but I suspect that the game will continue using it as a dependency unless it is outright phased out.

Aye, but if the goal be to put the strength of play into ships and fleets, the role of voodoo will move to its place to enhance and enable that strength rather than overwhelm it.

Besides, if eliminating voodoo altogether is the goal, well ye have to start somewhere to get from where we be to where we wish to go. To sweep voodoo all away at once would put the game in "under construction" mode for eternity.

Start the transition somewhere, a piece at a time.....
