to be fair, here to, there are some pages that are easy and comfortable to read, with no problems, but in my case at least, whenever I hit a page with the dark red over the black background, like I've mentioned before - the active ports with prices, the profile names, guild names, id# - and such places, then it becomes quite hard to read, thus uncomfortable and quite frustrating if we spend more than 10-15 minutes around, playing the game, doing stuff around...
so, if we change our local settings, I am sure it may help... for this particular case, this particular web-application, this particular game...
but my point is simple, the game interface should be by design, from the start, easy to read and comfortable, this including a strong enough contrast between the fonts colors and backgrounds colors, to create a comfortable feeling of being around, of reading, of playing...
the game in itself is a product, for entertainment purpose, so we - the users - should feel good to be around the game, should feel comfortable to "play it" as this is part of the so-called "gameplay experience"
once again, my aim is not to complain or to critique, but to point out some key elements that need some attention to improve this "gameplay experience"
to be fair, I already see some improvements, I already see a better contrast on some pages and this is a good step ahead...
so, clearly, you guys, the game owners-developers are working on it, trying to make it better and that is to be admired...
but, that's why I'm once again posting here, as it's not yet good enough - I see the dark reg is not so dark anymore, yet the contrast is still weak over the black background, so if I may suggest, make that red, even more, light please, much lighter...
I am still around and still planning to stick around, so I haven't forgotten about this, as such I'll follow up from time to time, but please try to understand that especially for a new player-user, like myself, just coming in, it is uncomfortable, thus it can be frustrating... on my end, I really don't see myself sticking around a lot, if the weak contrast is not corrected in time - I mean I have to squint each and every time when I try to read that dark red, so this is quite uncomfortable...
many other players, maybe veteran players, senior players, are already used to it and maybe don't "see" or "feel" anymore the frustrating part... other players, may see it and feel it, but don't take the time to point it out, to talk about it, like I'm doing it here and now...
on my end, I check often the "active ports list" to see the prices - those prices that are in dark red over the black background, this is still hard to read, thus frustrating...
I also check often players profiles, mainly to see their, names, guilds - once again, hard to read due to the dark red fonts - and to see the id numbers to send them gifts if especially if they send me some, so often I check that and still I'm having hard time to read the text...
again, to be fair, I see a slight improvement, the dark red is not so dark anymore, at least not like when I've started this thread, but still, that font color is not light enough to create a clear and comfortable contrast... please make it lighter...
