Promotions

Whenever a new Marquess is promoted after update but moves directly to Governor instead of Duke there is no promotion announcement in Global Events.

The most recent example is
01 Days (Promotion) Dread Danik (#43694) marquess of Bonaire

It acts like that since forever... it has to do something with being irritant to set new promotion every upkeep becaue people change governor positions on daily base in most cases.

Whatever suits the developers is fine by me.

My point is a promotion announcement is missing & it should say something

Governor positions are not announced due to the spam that comes with them. Once King (pretty soon) arranges them, then we can start announcing them.

This explanation accounts for the current way the matter has been handled.

I meant to draw attention to the fact that the promotion "from" Marquess is not noted in the Global Events whether it be as a Duke or where the exception occurs as a Governor. Looking only at the Promotions log there is no indication that a player has risen above the rank of Marquess. It is this Omission that represents a departure from all other ranking achievements. I consider this inconsistency to be a bug whether it is recognized or not. Unless addressed the information as displayed is misleading.
