Explosive. Ain't we? I wanted it.
Could be guessed yet from the very first pick :)

Different people, I sure know. But all the choices have a meaning ;) There'll be the presentation blurb.

If that pick isn't for the humor, my vote will have a smaller base to choose from. :beer

it would be a shallow friendship, a relationship based on a specific mutual beneficial interest. in WWII were Germany and the USSR friends to gain poland. later the west got friends with uncle Stalin to defeat a common enemy. the friendship flipped moment after the pictures were taken in Berlin.

another element is missing in that wonderful saying. what is the history between the 'common enemy sharing friends'? what would be the level of trust and the willingness to share methods and intelligence (sources)?

a team is more than a bunch of very talented people, only when the individuals are willing to sacrifice ego and importance for the common goal/vision will that synergy come forth where all those books are written about. The will to put team over ego comes from time proven trust and reliability.

knowing meliva a bit (from her forum participation), i am not surprised with her choices. i believe she got the most cohesive team that will perform much better than all its members on their own.

At first glance yes but you can't be sure that yesterdays enemies can't be todays allies if I am not mistaken many enemies trough history came together for common goal if reward on the end was sufficant....

I really don't like this saying, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Groups that tend to be self destructive can be extremely dangerous especially when they stop infighting and focus their aggression on an outside source.

The question you have to ask is would you pick a fight with one of those groups.

Depends how much I would be bored

If you pick a fight just because you can win, you are not a fighter! If a name gives you pause, you should be a trader. But you know that, as you are a trader! Most of the other traders chosen have proven to have a / after the occupation title, how you got there I have no clue! :D

If you pick a fight just to pick a fight, you are an idiot. Being a fighter doesn't mean you fight just because, one must fight smartly. On the other side, being a trader doesn't mean you have pause in fighting another player especially because of their name. I have no issue hitting any player in this game. A trader's only "pause" in fighting is what cost will their actions have and are they willing to accepting those costs. Most traders aren't going to take substantial risk. Don't think because I'm a trader, that I won't fight. Pick and choose your battles.

You were not picking at all. The rookie pick of your team is a better selection than you. You mooch off of nation cash and you allow it to be stolen. Probably for a split with the perpetrator :o: .
The fact Clisson was a number 9 pick and you a number 4, shows the humor. Honestly, you said you were going to run me from the game, and others did the casting for you. Pretty weak for an "explosive" team member.
My identification number has not changed and I am still here, get on your promised task jokey smurf. :D
Now I will withdraw from a community chat, because there are 4 teams and I need to decide which one I will vote for.
Talk to the air, because I will not be responding again. Dez before Clisson! Hahaha, good one! :PP

I guess the voodoo log showing my casts against you are just fictitious. I mooch off the treasury, that's a good one. I guess my abilities as the ruthless backseat dictator of the USA should be of value. I mean if I can manipulate 12 other council members, to include the king, to allow me free reign and steal from the treasury without counters, that's quite impressive. How can I be just a measly trader who is scared of everyone and accomplish this?

I don't expect to be picked in the draft as I know and understand there are other players out there that could be picked but am honored to be selected for whatever reason the Captain decides. I guess Tom Lowe's selection of me in the last draft wasn't warranted as well. Additionally, it shows an extreme lack of respect for Dejanira, but I guess we should expect such remarks from you.

As Dez said. The draft has concluded. I want to thank the ladies for stepping up and putting on a great draft. As the previous Captians can attest, picking a team is both fun and challenging.

Now what's next?!? The Captians are busy writing their "blurbs" on why they chose who they did and why you should vote for them. Once I have all 5 blurbs I will post them on the Voting Poll. The power then switches to the players to vote for who they think assembled the best team over all. Due to the weekend, I would suspect the poll to be up on Monday sometime. I will have the voting conclude on Friday next week if that is the case.

Captains, please no bribing, paying, manipulating the votes this time around. You have all done a great job and again this is just about fun.

Donors! I want to say thank you again for all who donated. We have close to $500 million in donations. Again this is a testament to such a great player base and solid players. Thank you.

Until the voting poll is live feel free to chat here. Once it is live you can share your support of who you think has the best team and why there.

Thank you everyone for making this a great success. The page views alone are staggering.
