We are still waiting on the final answer.

VUDU was offered a truce. A truce that came on the back end of more hostile voodoo cast by HELM and plundering of ships. VUDU has yet to even start casting on HELM members; yes we have cast some, but HELM is ahead 10/1 maybe even 15/1 to what we have done. And you ask for a truce.

Terms were asked for, if this truce should not be accepted.

Well, the truce is indeed not accepted. So here are our terms and they are simple

- We will wage war until we feel like our point is made. This could be a few days, this could be a few weeks.

While we do understand and recognize certain members of VUDU attacked certain members of HELM, HELM is the ones who have forced this war to happen by their onslaught of voodoo casting. This could have been avoided if talks were made after such raids in the past.

To the innocent bystanders of this WAR. VUDU does not wish to engage in PORT WARFARE. There are many nations represented in the mighty guild of HELM. Grenada is one such nation, Tokelau the other. We have asked HELM members to not cast port voodoo, but some has been received. If this continues, our members will have no choice to retaliate, overall hurting a blossoming nation in Grenada and damaging a quiet banking nation. Something I personally want to avoid.

I want to say it publicly, that VUDU holds HELM and its members in the highest regard. You are truly some of the founders of the game and have been around since the beginning. My personal hope is that after this is done we can both say "Good Game" and play on...

Let's take it from the beginning, in case you are not fully aware as while I am the only one doing talks for HELM, there are many for VUDU.

First, our retaliation to you was only danger specific. We only tried to put danger to your fleet. Most of the time, when you were online. We have not used a single ambush though.
We retaliated because of your attacks. You told to me that you would not respect us if we would not retaliate.

Voodoo as a number might appear much but when we retaliate or we war, we do not have a counter.

However, once you told us of the real string of events, which was an unfortunate string of events as you said, we stopped spelling your up or attacking you. This happened yesterday and we let you decide what you want to do. We gave you time to organize if you wish.

So today, I see a war declaration by William which I later learned that it was a common decision. It was war then and I immediately stated my terms. One of them was that if you have nothing to lose, we will escalate.

Ever since I chatted with a particular VUDU today, I have been trying to get back to peace. Ready to accept your terms. Why? Because I can see where it goes. You say weeks, I will say years. No one seems to care so we can fight to the end of time (told it to my first post too I think). This is hardly what I wish for my guild though as I am very content in training players.

You are too proud to accept peace? What is the problem with peace? What is the point you want to prove? That you can war for weeks? And what makes you think that we will not set a new point when your point ends?

There are no innocent bystanders. You have farmed most of them already but you simply cannot remember. Why else you think 60 days and 30 days members line up to deal a blow?

You have no right in this war.
You started it and you reject my peace offers a whole day. If you are bothered about the number of voodoo, then why you want to keep the war for weeks? Numbers wont bother you then?

What happens when a family of bears attacks a beehive for a few drops of delicious honey? Do the bees let them in unchallenged do they not get angrier and more aggressive the second, third, and forth time it happens? Is that the status quo the beehive wants? A Darwinian cycle of looting without reprisal? Why would the young bees want to stay after their hard earned honey vanishes in a few magical and tactical moments? The queen bees of the hive have a hard task: Advice only works on those who want to listen, and even then the world this beehive lives in can be a harsh mistress. Protecting the hive is a hard task as well as the young make mistakes but are also taken advantage of and that can be both a time consuming and resource depleting path. And yes, the bees do have to learn from their mistakes, rebuild and move on but they are also entitled to retaliate. Retribution can seem daunting (and a bit suicidal) going up against the likes of a veteran. What do to?

However, the queen bees know that there is strength in numbers and so the hive fought back in the only way it could; overwhelming voodoo (sorry my allegory failed there). The queen bees and bold young'uns then stung where they could to send a final message that alone we are easy targets, but together we can find ways to win.

On a personal note:

This isn't how I imagined my vendetta against Shadow and Lowe would turn out. I imagined waiting months slowly buying voodoo, watching their fleets, analyzing weaknesses, and ultimately getting bored and one drunken night impulsively trying to steal what was taken. Who is to say this doesn't still happen down the road *shhhhh*.....but I do stand firmly behind and with HELM in displaying our resilience and tenacity against VUDU as a testament to our word to protect our members and also to send a message to any others out there who want to take our honey.
