I don’t know why exactly, but, this reminded me one American survey that I read about, many years ago, don’t know exactly where.
One group of participants in the survey were asked to answer one simple question: Why they drink instant coffee. The explanation was mostly the same: Because it tastes good.
The other group of participants were asked the similar, yet not the same question: Why their neighbors, or fellows, drink instant coffee. Their explanation was the similar too, but different than the previous one.
Most of responses were: Because they are lazy, they don’t want to spend much time to make coffee at all etc.
It’s about double standards… what we do is great, the others are simply lazy, silly, dangerous…etc. But, when and what we think about what the others do and why, that exactly represents our real thinking about things.
I am a coffee maniac and lazy one, tbh, but I don’t like to drink instant coffee.
