Ability to delete threads and posts in National Forums

Postby William one eye » Fri Sep 23, 2016 5:21 pm

I would like to see the ability to delete threads and posts you created in national forums.
This would help to keep the national message board tidy for important discussions.

If possible I also think the King should be able to delete or remove a post or thread from a player that is no longer a
member of the nation.

+1 Archive, discussed in another topic - Skyhawk

Having recently ascended to the Throne in France I endorse this suggestion whole-heartedly.

There are cobwebs everywhere in our Forums from ancient administrations that bear no relevance to our current state of affairs. If I could I would prefer to have a clean slate to usher in a New Enlightenment for all future citizens without the clutter & unnecessary confusion that now exists. Another alternative could be the ability to put a Lock on those threads & remove them to a separate Archive section where they could be viewed but not be in the way of active topics.

I have mixed feelings about this. in one way being able to tidy up nation forums would be nice, but what if someone on the council decides to clear them all out of spite. I also like the fact that since they can not be removed, once you rank up you can see all sorts of conversations and posts that could have occurred ages ago. But I am rather fond of history, both real and fictional, so I am a bit biased on the subject.

Jeanne's idea of putting them in an Archive is something I would definitely support. that way old conversations are saved, but moved out of the way for the present affairs.

Nation forums topics delete after so much time of inactivity, unless you mark them as sticky.
