Even though I would like to see a "how to do grown up things" class. I think the internet can do that for you.
Schoools introduce you things to make you well rounded. If your school never taught you history because "you didn't like it." People would be walking about not knowing that WWI occured, or about HItler. Anything past. How Egypt was the first civilization, ours roots. Or science, math, etc. I don't agree with specialization in schools, people are introduced to these topics to see which they like and don't.
chin, I'm pretty damn sure most people know what subjects they like by the time they reach high school. given there is 5 years in elementary, and 3 in middle school, that's 8 years. and as for the I think internet can do that for you, well internet can also teach you any subject if you look it up, so that's a pointless point you just made. I would rather learn how to do taxes and write a resume, then spend a year in art. also I'm pretty sure you can be fairly well rounded by the time you reach high school as well. elementary and middle school would be enough time to teach the basics, and once reaching highschool you can decide if you want to stay rounded, or start specializing.
