We are so high and mighty, but yet crippled when the arabs cut off the oil supply in the 70s. OPEC destroyed the US. Btw, WWII was NOT won by the US, that is just something our schools tell us. It was more USSR wins than US wins.

The USSR had the most deaths in the war... however, that doesn't mean the lives lost were put to good use. Without American intervention, Western Europe would have been decimated by the National Socialists and then they could target all forces on the Soviet Union. Keep in mind, it was a war on all fronts- Germany, and to a lesser extent its allies, had successfully attacked established countries such as Russia, Britain, and France at the same time. Americans introduced new technology and a new form of warfare, as well as the Atomic Bomb to end Japan's shenannigans. Russia may be a big player in the world today, but its military is/has been outdated compared to America's. Sadly, Putin's policies trump America's now. He doesn't put up with immigrant crimes, he doesn't allow immigrants to practice Shar'ia law in his country, and most importantly: he won't be pushed around.
