For those that do not understand this strategy:
> When a fleet has high danger to me above 1000, but to you guys above 500. You know there is no desire/hope of getting such ships inside the fleet back.
> Instead of seeing it taken one night which players often brag about, you drop your gold coins.
> This strategy has been used by many, Roberts and Jack Aubrey/Henry Avery did this several times in times of war, and general danger - On sloop ships and even Frigate fleets at one point, but to my "knowledge" Roberts never commandeered them back, or dropped it to a certain point ( Less then 50,000 ) Henry Avery did drop his gold coins to lose the ships though. In fact, Roberts stole Henry Avery's strategy at best, it be a smart strategy.
Should this/is this be against the rules?
I believe, it is against the rules as you are attempting Danger Manipulation in its finest sort - Removing danger manipulation which should only be done players by you do not know.
Should this be against the rules, to a certain extent not to the extent of re-capturing your fleet just so you can do the same again. The idea of having a fleet lost is down to punishment or Piracy, of which if you do this to yourself it really defeats the purpose of losing one, no?
However, there is nothing really you can do, except report such possible battles. As the Admin can not put ban on players so they can not go below 50,000 well he can - But, it would not be fair to new players nor us as pirates, down to one player we all get punished, savvy?
Wait, that could be a punishment.
Players known to do this can not withdraw to less then 50,000 at a sudden time.
