Are you sure, I thought it was about how Danik and LT were subverting the US Nation because they couldn't battle the players outright.

Nope, definitely not about what you think it is.
Only started like that... but in the sequel, we could see how much hypocrisy is in the game (of USA throne).

We are the bad guys : of course we are : when USA took all Spains ports, well, they were the good guys : when they attacked Mexico, they were paragons of virtue : when Mexico sought to defend itself, oh my, how low and evil could anyone get? And when Mexico decided to take the war to the USA doorstep : The Horror! The Horror!

Yeah, so I guess instead of taking on the people outright who did it, you subvert the entire nation creating enemies along the way of players that had nothing to do with it, because you didn't like what a couple of tools did. Best part is, that those that did it are either banned or left the nation, so your retribution is just going after those that had no part. That's such a great plan.

After Roth was banned for doing bad things... and other citizens '' haven't eat the onion, neither smell it'' (sentence from my area, meaning you are totally innocent in the whole thing)... they had a chance to make a peace with Spain, in sense to give them back their ports (or some of them, idk)... but no, it was so alluring to be the owner of the half of Avonmora...

So, now, they have to deal with consequences

No, there are a lot of US Nation Players that were not aware of Rothchild and Lockreed's actions, until afterward. I only just now started nation missions, as I was working a different strategy of building my trade routes at the time.

i was still relatively new when this started around 3-4 week area so this gave me a lot of insight into how wars work and everything involved in them considering i only had 23 or so captains then i still needed guidance

My opinion is that they are thinking about their new players (not going to involve all of them in the war) and Spain and Mexico are two fingers of one hand. So, fighters are going to fight and innocents could stay in peace. Of course, spoils of war is (are* idk) for Danik and TLT.
