[Implemented] Additional option - Trade Routes

Postby Cdv » Fri May 02, 2014 7:05 pm

The Setup Auto Trade Route page has a drop-down menu for Port Load Policies with the following options:

1. Buy only from Market-Never empty Warehouse
2. Unload Warehouse when Market is empty
3. Unload from Warehouse-Then buy from Market

My suggestion is to add a fourth option: Unload from warehouse- Never buy from Market

I believe this option would come in very useful for certain traders.

bump

I believe this is a very useful idea and simple to code. I hope this gets approved and implemented quickly.

Can you explain the point of this option?

This would be a nice feature because it gives more control over trade fleets. If I want to stock a warehouse to a certain point but I don't want to overflow or run out of gold, then I would use this feature to transport the inventory from one warehouse to another without worrying about what would happen if I empty the warehouse and start spending too much gold on buying extra resources from the port market.

...and god could you fix the group load/unload buttons already, sure I use a lot of auto trade, but frankly my new kick is trading with combat fleets; thus they freguently get switched from trade routes to assault duty and back.

Just silly not to have that work, especially as it is a feature already IN the game--if it is to never work, just take it out.

Oh, and while I'm at it--the "remember" fleet attack function is, as far as I can tell, completely useless.

Thank you, Captain D. I don't think I could have explained it as clearly. :)

Also, if I wanted to buy and stock goods in my warehouses in large amounts when prices are low and use them to trade when prices are high, I would use this option to limit trading to only goods from my warehouse so that I would not run out of gold.
