I do agree temporary death match servers would be a better way to go once we can get a sustainable player base for it. I don't have a solution for that though. The server ended years before I joined is there a full post about how that server worked and what the differences and goals were?

The sustainable player base CJ is referring to is this server.... the point in everything he wrote was that this server comes first... the end.
You keep saying stupid this and stupid that, whining this and whining that but the reality is that you have not read his post to understand what he is even conveying.

It's a 5-minute read and 3 more minutes of re-reading key points to understand that CJ's terms and conditions that he set for a second server have not been met and will not be met with our current population.

Drumming up something old and misrepresenting it, is extremely disrespectful to CJ the game and its player base.

Claiming it's a rhetorical question is malarky. It's done to incite a base to pressure the one person who has kept this game alive and free, so pardon me if I like to return that same disrespect.

One would reasonably consider that a further key requirement for CJ to consider is the necessity for the player base to actually want to play on a second server.

Well, it sounds to me that it has already been done and was a flop and maybe not a possibility he would personally choose to reconsider, which is why he never brought it up again in what 11 years?

ooh I stand corrected. It has been brought up again by PFH and was shot down. So, it sounds like someone is beating a dead horse that no one wanted to ride... and according to the polls here... I bet the total vote just isn't enough to justify having a second server...I think this idea should be scrapped.
