Lol they complained in the forums about HNs being overpowered and then when they didn’t get their way they accused Hightop of being an alt of Dman! It went on for days too. I kinda felt bad at first because of the whole newbie and can’t make any money thing but I have been lit up so many times before. It’s just HNs anyway. They aren’t losing all of their ships. That’s what really sucks. Having to start from scratch, but you do. You fall apart but you learn from it all. It’s easier though when you have the knowledge.

If I remember correctly only 2 or 3 commented in that manner.

There are 25-30 members in PR, and I know of 2 that commented that the balance was correct.

I also seem to remember some constructive comments about voodoo balance, and classifications from both sides. Please do not lump all into 1 category. Even those that agreed that HNs were not balanced at least had a few constructive comments.

Everyone has their own opinions, and it seems to me that the purpose of the forums is to discuss and debate those opinions freely. Comments like your "whining" comment, are a great example as to why the forums have seen a drastic decrease in participation.

Your comments about "whining" are completely inappropriate for a general discussion topic. Now if the thread had been in the Union of Honor thread then fire away with your comments.

But the HNs thread was not.

I used to post in forums 4-5 times a day..... now less than 10 a month because every thread. every comment is up for ridicule by one party or another.

It used to be people were encouraged to post such topics and thoughts. Now they get castigated, ridiculed, and called names, sometimes it even comes from forum mods.

That is not conducive to growth and participation.

Enough of my unwanted rants for another month or so.

Oh now you are overreacting a tad don't you think? Regarding the last discussion. You don't think it was a little overdone? I mean let's be real most people here have stated that the game has been really scrubbed of a lot of gameplay and it's completely tilted in favor of traders. Now how much more scrubbed is the game going to be because people are afraid to take a risk or even learn how to adapt to hostile gameplay which is the very fabric of the game? It's HN’s. And by the way, let's not forget that it was your guild mates who completely highjacked the conversation because it was not going their way. Insults are one thing. Accusations of cheating are another.
