The night had set in Avonmora, and strange calm had overtaken the seas. The flames of destruction have seemingly settled to a slow smolder, and a fog rolled in from the west.

Suddenly without any warning, a wild wind blew across the seas stoking the flames of destruction. The fire grew with incredible vigor as through the fog a Sloop appeared.

As the Sloop approached, a crew of 15 led by DezNutz could be seen and heard singing on the deck.

This ship we bring
This song we sing
A commandeer
From a donation here

This ship we bring
This song we sing
Stoke the fires more
The Sloop Forty-Four

(repeats from the top)

The sloop approaches the burning wrecks, DezNutz gives the order to move to abandon ship. The song continues as the crew and Dez abandon ship and board rowboats.

As Dez looks on, the Sloop enters the fires and is engulfed. The fires are restored and world burns on.

Upon reaching port, DezNutz quickly ventured over to the nearest Ship Auction House.

Whispers from the SLACK Rumor Mill was that Sloop with ID 90 had been placed on the auction block for 1 Credit.

DezNutz quickly placed a bid, but rumors that DezNutz was on the hunt to burn another ship quickly spread and a bidding war quickly ensued.

10 Credits, 15 Credits, 20 Credits, ..... 70 Credits, 80 Credits, 90 Credits, 100 Credits, 110 Credits

DezNutz paused and considered the options. Considering the victory on Sloop Forty Four, DezNutz slipped back from the bidding to see if bids would slow down.

The next day, DezNutz returned to the auction house to find the Sloop had ballooned to 300 Credits.

DezNutz laughed as he walked away from the auction house. A Sloop going for 300 Credits. You could buy multiple Ships of the Line for less.

While DezNutz didn't get the sloop to burn, he was able to get someone to pay 300 credits for a Sloop. The fires of destruction burned a soft orange. The smell of success was in the air.

Nearby, Mel leaves the auction house, carrying a large bag of credits. She takes a bite of one before spitting it out.

These things taste awful. Imma toss them in some sort of stupid contest.

Dez looked out from his governor's mansion in Baramas, thinking back to the glory days when the embers of chaos glowed brightly and brought forth a dark flame that burned the world and left an incredible smoke trail. But those embers have long ago cooled down and Dez had grown accustomed to the slow drone of nation building.

As the sun set, Dez grudgingly walked back to his desk to sign off on Plantation Operating Permissions. As he sat down, a messenger came barreling through the doors with an urgent parchment.

Dez opens and reads the parchment.

La Margarette. A ship with a long but incomplete list of owners. The original owner is unknown but records go back to show 7 other owners including William One Eye, Jamminram1, CDV, and Pulpup.

Dez thought to himself, I appreciate this gift but I can't do this, I'm a governor now.

But the darkness in Dez began to grow. The longer he thought about it, the bigger the dark flame grew.

Dez grinned mischievously. The fires of chaos never die out.

Dez grabbed his cutlass, drew it from it's sheath and plundged it through the heart of the messenger.

Dez called for his trusted first mate. "The La Margarette is in the port. Take the body and dump it aboard. For the fires will glow brightly tonight."

Dez headed to the docks.....

The fires burned fiercely.

The menacing laugh of DezNutz can be heard in the background as the people on the docks looked in horror as the ship burned with a black flame.

The world continues to burn....
