As I understood it, the game TOS applied to all aspects of the site, including the forums and the old in-game chat module.

I'm not sure where Slack sits in relation to the game TOS or whether it runs under its own in-house rules (like Discord) or also falls under PG TOS.

Personally, I don't use Slack as my phone is already littered with half-a-dozen such chat sites linked to other games. Given reports of the standard of 'chat' there, not using it doesn't seem to be any loss.

We already have that : under Forum Rules it should all be under 'Parlay' rules save for Union of Honour which equates to the proposed 'Barfight' rules.

There is a toxic level of bias currently ruling the forums. Some poster's right to be insulting, offensive and abusive is held above the TOS which forbids such.

Then another poster finds themselves reported, censored, suspended or banned for sometimes laughable reasons under those same TOS : i.e. for double-posting.

Moderation is either 'hands-off', 'not my problem to go look unless you report it' or it's hamner-time for the most pedantic of reasons and it's plain to a number of observers that who you are decides which response is forthcoming.

So, the forums have become a playground for bullies and their friends : posts are responded to not on the basis of what is posted but who posted it.

It's clannish and its unfriendly and it does not even abide by its own rules never mind any rational logic of cause and effect.

So, don't bother changing rules to create new sandpits : abide by the rules that already exist. Don't allow exceptions on the basis of some notional constitutional protection that only applies to one nation of the globe : PG is not there, most of the players and posters are not there. When you sign up for the forums you sign up to the forum TOS : you agree that those are the rules that apply. Abide by them, moderate according to them. Post according to them.

Now... how long until the first response suggesting I use the wrong gendered toilets?

1. uh huh its easy to go through past topics and see your one of the poster's exercising the right to be insulting, offensive and abusive as defined by the TOS

at any rate the facts are everyone does what they want as an individual and will justify based on their views thoughts and feelings
