This is not a training issue. This person should never have been allowed to be a police officer. 95% of the police officers i have ever been involved in incidents with have been professional, tolerant of resistant and abusive behaviors towards them.
Notable exceptions to this.
I been involved 2 incidents where the police were abusing their implied position of authority, 1 were they litterally robbed us and were not even being descrete about it,
1 where they had a fit and disabled my freinds car Leaving him stranded on the side of the road. Because they could not
Find the evidence they needed to arrest him.
1 where they asked a friend to come into the hallway to talk then arrested him for drunk in public. They beat my other freind almost unconsious and took him to jail. This over playing the stereo to loud.
However i have had countless experiences where police acted appropriately and professionally.
I have even have quite a few experiences where officers when above and beyond and acted on my behalf even though they did not need to.
Extensive personality and psychological examination should be done before arming people and giving them authoritarian positions.
I dont agree with defundment, but perhaphs its would be better to be understaffed than poorly staffed.
Or how about better funding. To pay better wages to hire and retain the best possible officers instead of meager funding that limits the pool of available candidates to hire.
