[CHALLENGE] Pluck The Golden Goose!

THE GOLDEN GOOSE
In the dim and rum-shrouded hostelries of battered old sea-dogs, gathered around knife-scarred tavern wenches and steaming bowls of custard, one great legend is oft whispered off in hushed and reverent tones.
But this is not that legend. Not the one about Captain Jack, the flatulent geese and the patchouli oil. Or the unusual yet strangely amusing use of gunpowder to clear up The Pirate King's piles.
No, this is the Legend of the Golden Goose! Fabled carriers of immense wealth, laden with shiny shiny golden bars, pretty precious parcels and the ugliest cabin boys in Avonmora. Lucky was the wastrel rapscallion who even set an eye upon one of these wonderous craft, much less laid grubby paws upon such riches.
And they are back!
Once per day, the over-laden fleet named 'The Golden Goose' shall set sail from its secret cove destined to visit one of Avonmora's ports. It shall bear a cargo of gold bars and other valuable knick-knacks. It is unarmed. All you greedy knaves have to do to claim the goodie-bag is spot it and skirmish it.
What's the catch? : You get one skirmish chance per day. Sneaky, huh? Once plundered, 'The Golden Goose' will return home to refill her holds then she shall set sail once more.
GOOD LUCK!
Rules : there are no rules.
The fleet will sail at random times and at random speeds to random destinations.
Danik's indecision is final.

Update : Day #1
'The Golden Goose' slipped its moorings within the past hour. Wise heads nodded wisely as it headed West. Wiser heads noted wiselier for that was pretty obvious as that is where the harbour mouth is.
Off she sailed to who knows where?

Read the post : due to my fleet numbers there is one skirmish chance per day. Sooo.. if 'some-one' misses their chance that means my fleets go back under the radar until next day. Not in my control, that is how skirmish works.
But rest assured, 'The Golden Goose' will carry on cruising port-to-port until some-one gets lucky!
But.. for every day she escapes the filthy avaricious clutches of Avonmora's sneakiest skirmishers : I shall add 100 gold bars to the competition budget and she will keep sailing until it is all claimed.
So... that is now 2100 bars in the pot!

All is fair in the hunt for the Goose. Chuck voodoo, sacrifice goats, bribe guildmates. Bribe me!
Of course there may be barriers up and I have been accused, rightly, of being far too sneaky.
That's the challenge. The Golden Goose is out there, as described. Find her!
