You ever had lots of money but not many resources to spare to get high up ships? What if we had it where all you had to do to get the ship you want of you do not have the resources is pay extra gold to get it. Like a ship of the line cost 750,000 gold. If you did not have enough resources to build it you can charge someone an extra 500 gold per resources you do not have to build the ship to get it built. Or if you do not want to spend any resources at all You can charge someone 850k to 900k gold to get it built. This would definitely help merchants who do not have hideouts yet because they do not have to worry about how much they need to sell or pirates because they will only have to worry about who to plunder! It would also help plenty of new players who often have trouble building new ships because they have to sell a lot of their resources to the market every day.

Edit: And instead of worrying about more ships, worry about protecting the ones you have. More ships means Roberts comes back.

I agree. Resources are an important part of the game. If you don't have the resources, buy ships off the Ship Market using credits.

Why not just remove credits and resources and hell, why not turns. Clearly if you have to work for it and actually wait, then it should not be included.

If you have money and don't have resources contact someone like me who will build you ship but you'll have to pay little extra or spend that gold coins and buy credits and bid for ships on the ship market... there is always a way to get ships if you have gold coins...

Second i just realized ships can be gotten by gold coins because credit exchange kind of lets you use my type of idea to get ships. This is short reason of how gold coins=credit exchange=credits=ships market(buy ships with credits)=ships

Yeah... sure, use credits (which are a joke now) instead of getting the resources yourself. To each his own, I guess..

well it is pretty easy now to get credits u can buy them the lowest at 25k gold coins per credit which is pretty cheap when u can buy 4 large merchantmen with that
