One last comment since I am late to the game today. Real life happens and today was one of those days.
"playing an account to its full potential" is about the dumbest standard for game play you can have. We have several players here that do nothing but trade. Is that playing their account to its potential.
What about a pirate with no trade routes?
What about someone sitting on 30k voodoo yet only casts party cards?
Maybe a witch doctor feels that the only way he can play his own account to its full potential is to sit back and cast at no benefit except revenge?
Perfect example is CrackedCube. What about the banker that loans out 2 billion at low rates, maybe has enough fleets to feed a goldsmith? Is that playing and account to its full potential?
Using that as a standard is ridiculous. As stated in this specific incident, at least to what I understand. XproX cast were a result of someone hitting him because of a bounty. He cast on a few in the guild from what I understand. Someone else mentioned retaliation as a legitimate reason like in the case of CrackedCube.
I am pretty sure that most of the cards pro casts are in retaliation for one thing or another. Someone cast on dman? pro is his friend so he retaliates for him. How is that different than Tom Lowe casting on 3 Vudu members after I cast on one of his guild. He cast on everyone but me.
How is it different than helping a guildmate out when they come under fire? Lodswe has done it when Some Helm members come under fire.
Attack Lana once and see who comes running to her aide?
Again a lot of finger pointing for something most of us have done.
