Take the Chevy Silverado EV; now that's a truck.
But I don't own either.
I prefer my global warming vehicles the older, the better.
I like mechanical and not electrical issues with my vehicles.

Cyber trucks look horrible. They don't even look like a real truck or car to me. I think they were trying to go for a futuristic look but it looks like deformed cars I drew as a toddler

I gave my daughter a hybrid Malibu I put 30k miles on.
I blew the motor in it, and it cost me 6k and change to have the dealership to put a new one in it.
My daughter wanted it so the dealership got their 6k for its 4-cylinder motor lol
But if it were me, I would have junked it before paying that for a 4cylinder motor and install :D :D :D

Im just not a fan of all the crap cars have now ... the cars arent as tough and are not meant for the avg joe to work on.

When I was small one of my neighbors had a 1960's volkswagen beetle and my dad told me they were extremely reliable and he had a friend who had one for 30 years and it never broke down and they only changed it because it did not have any safety features like ABS and airbags. The new beetle looks trash though

Volvo's are another brand I like. 5 years ago when my mother was driving back home she got T boned and she was driving a previous generation volvo XC 60. The front of the other car got completely squished and the only side damage on the volvo was a medium sized dent and the wheel was bent at an odd angle and that was it.

That's why I say foreign pos.
It's not true competition unless the market is flowing both ways.
I also call cars with tons of electronics garbage or pos.
The more electronic parts, the more chance of failure.
Electronics, by nature, are touchy.
Rust, decay, dampness, and many other factors are especially bad for electronics.
All of which vehicles experience daily.
Price check a modulator valve vs an electronic modulator valve
The difference is about 415 bucks.
A 20-dollar fix becomes a paycheck when electronics are involved.
I would love to see all foreign cars disappear from our markets as I prefer US dollars going to the US,
especially considering we don't have the same chance to rake in other nations' cash on ours.
Call it bigoted or old fashioned, but I'm good with old American vehicles.
So yes, to me, a pos nation wants to sell us its pos but doesn't want to know if our pos will sell on their streets.
Fook em and nuke em drive Chevy :D :D :D

Well maybe the reason why countries like Japan don't have american cars is because they prefer to buy their own cars that are produced domestically. Japanese roads and parking spaces are built for smaller cars while american cars tend to be bigger so that is why they are not popular there.

General Motors also moved their major manufacturing plant out of Michigan into Mexico for cheaper labor. How American! We all know the story of Flint, Michigan. Your all American pride Chevy was made with parts from across the globe and likely assembled by Mexicans.

And if tariffs work out, it will be assembled here in America again.
If other countries pay their workers 2 dollars a day, they can afford to build cheaper and thus sell cheaper, ruining manufacturing in America
But it is still an AMERICAN vehicle, thus American money to an American corporation.
Funny that all these countries have all these plants but the workers still want to come here
I guess the pay suckd huh... :D :D :D

We have plenty of small cars.
Even when they come here, they buy their nation-affiliated cars
Oh, you mean they are patriotic? Cool, so am I.

Volvo parts in America are not worth what you pay for them.

I wish cars looked more like they did 30 years ago. But maybe their lack of availability is what makes them stylish and I'd hate the look if it was common today. I also wish they still commonly made manuals. Man it's hard to find a used car with enough cargo space that's 4wd/AWD and is manual and has less than 200k miles. Take manual out of the equation and they're being sold dime a dozen

You could always buy a Chinese Foton, BYD58, LandwindX7, BrillianceV5, Liddon 330, Hawtai B35 or the Dong Feng Motors EQ2050 HMV. I'm sure you've never seen any of those before :D :D :D
