Excuse me but I think all three of you, Dman, Leo and Lachlan have missed the obvious fact here. Well I haven’t seen it stated. Eating cows saves us from Climate change. Dman I would have at least expected you to have claimed you are doing your part to save us from the deadly gas cloud.

Doesn’t asparagus and seaweed leave a flavor to the beef?

A quarter of a cow lasts your family a whole year :D :D :D

We have a family of 4, and due to the ground beef, it may last 3 to 4 months for us
Simply because my better half and I are opposite on everything
I love my red meats, and she loves chicken,
When I cook, it's beef, and when she cooks, it's chicken.
Otherwise, it would last a month or two :D :D :D

Can't say what kind of flavor it would give the cow, but I can attest that what an animal eats does impact the flavor and texture of the meat. My father told me, that it tends to be best that a few weeks before you slaughter an animal, feed it corn to both fatten it up, and sweeten it a bit.

Honestly dman, beef and chicken are both amazing, so I feel like having chicken replace half the beef is still a win-win :D. Though I think chicken Is the better option in my opinion with it being a bit cheaper and healthier. Flavor wise, hard to pick one or the other for me. Suppose it depends on what you make with it. Fried chicken is easily one of the tastiest things on earth, but ground beef is super versatile. I like to use 3 pounds of it and make a big meal of something in a pot, then have leftovers the next day. Don't think I could live without beef or chicken honestly, both are just so good :D

It's not a quarter of a cow as in one quarter of the cow but rather one quarter of the weight of the total meat. We don't eat a TON of beef so yeah it lasts us a while if we use it 1-2 times a week. And usually they're leftovers so those 1-2 times can last us 3-4 meals. We get all sorts of cuts, we get some really nice steaks as well as bottom of the barrel ground beef and whatnot. The only real downside I see is that it's frozen rather than fresh which for making high quality steaks isn't optimal.

I think it definitely depends on the context of each. Beef is better in chili, chicken is better in nachos. Chicken is better in curry, beef is better in stir fry (usually, depends on the stir fry). Beef is better as steaks, chicken is better deep fried.

If you eat a cow then you remove the problem Dman. You are helping the environment in your own meat eating way. You are doing your part by eating cows. Lol Dman is saving the planet one burger at a time.

Meliva yeah..I have heard of feeding cows corn..although have you heard how farmers feed animals other animals? I wonder what that does for disease though? I wonder if that practice is still done? How does that effect flavor as well.

Yes I know about mad cow disease. However that is what I am wondering. If that practice is still in play that would be contaminating the food supply, do they test them for disease? Probably only people who do not skip protocols? Just wondering.

Although no matter what diet, vegetarian or carnivore, you choose you have to be cautious of listeria, salmonella, E. Coli. Lol even eating is a gamble.
