My reign of terror has halted due to an exterminate population mission. I was told these were optional, but at least for me it is not at the baron level.

Ironically, I have a number of Black Death cards at auction.

SO, two suggestions, don't require population destruction without at least one more mechanism for attaining it than that a single card. Second, allow cards at auction to be "retracted"

Has anyone noticed the eccentricities of the in game chat censor program? You can say any number of extremely foul words, pretty much all of them as far as I can tell, you just can't "s**k" any of them:)
