Mmm... to be thoroughly pedantic : under the wording of the rules.. reporting a violation of the rules is... a violation of the rules on discussing violations of the rules.

Yeah... I got a headache thinking about that too.

That's why there is a report post button. But in the strictest sense of the rules, yes openly posting in the forums that someone is breaking the rules is technically a rules violation.

I wasn't reporting anything. If I was I would have used the report button. My intent was to simply let CW know that his question being posted in the forum could be a rule violation.

I am surprised others didn't.

I think that report button has lost its credibility. Certainly going to take some work to bring that back.

Ok. Well for future reference, if you suspected that there is rule violation, you should report it.
