Ahoy all,
Just seeing this thread now, so I reckon I ought to weigh in on the subject. Actually, just three points that I would like to make:
1) Personally, I do not take kindly to those who cast Pirate Tales. I feel that it is a very cowardly and cheap way to get Fame. It is an act completely devoid of honor. If it were up to me that card would be stricken from the deck. I spent long years accumulating the fame that I have. I got it the old fashioned way, I earned it. It does indeed chap my hide when some wet behind the ears swab can, with one click, obliterate weeks worth of plundering and running fleets with high danger.
2) It is the duty of any "Guild", worth its salt, to educate its players about the use of voodoo, and the possible outcomes and consequences of casting on certain players, and folks in general. There's almost always gonna be blow back from using voodoo on someone because the act itself makes an attack so very personal.
3) It would also be the purview of of said "Guild" to protect its players from any voodoo cast on them. I was frankly amazed to see that Osman, and his crew, left the voodoo I cast on Thunder Bones active for a full 24 hours (without clearing it). What kind of a "Guild" does that?
Just saying. Thanks for letting me share.
