Longest war in Avonmora? If so, That's a milestone!

I am not sure about the longest... but one of the longer ones.

I have heard stories of old, about a war between ZomB and HELM maybe... that lasted for months I guess...??

Perhaps an OLD TIMER can weigh in? PHX, SHM, STAN, BS, TRIXI???

I am uncertain how long it lasted, but I would say the PK vs ZomB war was much longer, lasting several months. We have seen nothing like it before or since.

Last week, VUDU released a video explaining that Haron was admitted to a hospital, where he is to be treated for delusions and other diseases of the mind: https://youtu.be/7fy-4Ge6XRw. Avonmora Occasionally (AO) have reason to believe that the hospital in question is Dr Mengele’s clinic for psyciatry, among other things known for leading Avonmora’s re-education programme. There were, however, other rumors going on as well, and AO was not sure what to believe. We therefore visited Dr Mengele, and was allowed an exclusive interview.

AO: We have heard rumors that Haron has once again been admitted to your re-education programme. Can you confirm this?
Mengele: It is correct that around one week ago, Haron was admitted to our clinic for treatment.
AO: Is he still here?
Mengele: Uhm…. Yes, of course. This treatment takes time.
AO: How is Haron progressing?
Mengele: Well… This is a difficult case. Haron’s mind is simply not like other minds. We do believe he will recover, though. In fact, he is already improving.
AO: That’s good to hear. May we talk to him?
Mengele: NO! Uhm, I mean, he… he is sleeping. Yes, that’s it. He cannot be disturbed. Sorry.
AO: I see. Well, we have heard rumors of military activity at this hospital not long ago. Can you confirm this?
Mengele: What? No, of course not. That is absolutely not true. This is a hospital, after all.
AO: Well, then, how can you explain this picture, taken at this very clinic only four days ago?

Mengele: Where did you get his? Uh, I mean, that are just our window cleaners. Yeah. Nothing suspicious about that.
AO: Well, how do you explain…
Mengele: Sorry, but his interview is over. I have a patient to attend to.


Not getting the information we were after, AO decided to persue another lead. Had Haron really escaped from the hospital? Recent reports from Avonmora’s Secret Systems facility (ASS) indicated unusual activity in that area. Could this be linked to Haron somehow? We decided to visit this mythical place.
After a long and tedious process to get the necessary clearance papers, AO’s reporter was finally allowed to enter the facility and speak to Chief Supreme Executive General Scientist Manager for Top Secret Weapons and Chewing Gum, professor doctor von Braun.


AO: Thank you for finding time for this interview, doctor Braun.
Braun: PROFESSOR doctor Braun, if you please.
AO: Right. Sorry, professor doctor Braun. First, I admit I’m a bit curious about the name of your department. Do you care to explain…
Braun: NO questions about chewing gum! Thas is an absolute prerequisite for us granting you this interview.
AO: I see. Well, what we really came to ask you about, was Haron. There are rumors that he has been seen in the area lately. Some even claim that he has taken control over this facility through a conglomerate of foreign concortiums and by taking the family of key employees as hostages. Can you comment on these rumors?
Braun: These allegations are of course absolutely ridiculous. First, Haron is currently in a hospital. VUDU released a video explaining that last week, so that has to be true. Secondly, the ownership of this facility is very transparent, as it has to be for an independent institution like ASS. ASS is set up as a company which is jointly owned by three different investment institutions. These institutions are in turn controlled by a trusts, run by banks which are owned by non-profit organisations and insurance companies. These are in turn…

Braun: Anyway. Thirdly, taking our families as hostages is a ridiculous suggestion. I can assure you that none here care enough about their familty to… I mean, the integrity of all our employees are beyond doubt.
AO: Very reassuring. However, how do you explain all the ships that have been sunk in this area lately?

Braun: A coincidence, I am sure. I have been told that this is a result of someone letting Feniks near the steering wheel, but that is only hearsay.
AO: What about the fact that your latest project is about a delivery to PulPop? Is that a coincidence as well?
Braun: I can neither confirm nor deny… Sorry, can you delete that from the interview? I mean; These are just speculations. I’m afraid I cannot comment on our ongoing projects.
AO: And the rumors that it was your machines that hypnotized Banger to surrender to T’zak Ryn?
Braun: Again, just speculations. Our machines would not work on lesser minds than… I mean, of course we have no such hypnosis machines. That's just the imagination of the uninformed.
AO: Very well. And this picture, taken in Seaglory shortly after a ship with a big ASS logo arrived there? Is that a coincidence as well?

Braun: Where did you get that? I mean, uh, look at the time! I’m sorry, but I will have to end this interview now. I need to finish my work on the hypnosis mach.. I mean, I need to attend an important meeting.


As you can see, we are not getting any nearer to the truth. Is Haron still tended my doctor Mengele? Or is he again at large, making heinous plans and laughing his manial laughter, while wrecking havoc to the world? Only time can tell.

Can someone please help me understand the enemy's tactic?

I woke up to 78 events. All ships still there. Checking events. 55 plunders, followed by 4 booty masters, followed by another 19 plunders.

Now, the plunders I can understand. I was lit, and even if my purse was not very high, piracy tech can give a decent income. Nothing strange about that. But the 4 booty masters? At a time when my purse probably was around 200-300k? It does not steal anything of significance, it does not privide any extra info (I was already lit, so my purse was visible to all), and it was hardly possible to drain my purse entirely in order to steal my ships. The cost of spending 4 booty masters is of course insignificant compared to the daily cost of this war, but still?

Please help, anyone! Why did they use the booty masters? What am I missing here?

I did the fleet hitting and since I have maxed my piracy tech I made like 6.4 million off of you. If someone used booty master on you perhaps it was to send you a message they owned your azz. I have plenty of levis so if I wanted your raggedy ships I would take them. Who wants some old has-beens frigs filled with worm rot and salty tears lol.

But the message those booty masters (not from you) sent, was "I don't know how to use voodoo".

As for stealing my ships, I've been hoping you'd do that, but I guess I knew you would not be THAT stupid. Spending 400 credits worth of voodoo to take 4 subpar frigates would be the worst ship stealing raid in Avonmoran history.
