Pulpop is easily the most dangerous player in the game right now. Between his voodoo resources and turn mules, he will pretty much crush any takers. Unless the Charles Vane of old comes back and gives him a run for his money he is virtually untouchable. Merc has been left unchecked for a long time, all the while just stockpiling massive resources. I honestly do not ever see anyone taking down PP or Merc without an insane amount of resources coupled with some serious skill and perhaps even a tad bit of luck.

Nah, its always about strategy not just resources. PP is only a threat to those who have something to risk and even then only if his turn whores are following him. put him in a corner and I beg to see what he can do. Never once has he ever made a noteworthy achievement on his own since I have been around and that's far longer than he has. He found a way to manipulate the voodoo market which is explicitly mentioned not to be manipulated or shared in the rules yet MERC gets away with it day in day out. Doesn't make them untouchable either.

With Shadowood I would go to the ends of the earth to make it a fair straightforward match with equal ships a goal and time frame. If it was against PP or MERC as a whole, I'd play just as they have to earn their so called wealth, cheap and dirty .
