Thank you very much CJ, we are surely trying.

Other news, Redbard continues to impress as he works his way up the ranks of England. His contributions to better our nation, and activity within has made him a valuable asset. England appreciates your support Redbard.

- John Roberts, Admiral of the Fleet of Englands Royal Navy, has seen fit to promote Redbard (#42897) to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Continue to serve well Lt. Commander Redbard!

Black Plague Hits The English Port of Tzogos This Week!

As many inhabitants of Avonmora know, England has recently raised a settlement on the southern border of this exotic island chain. To help in the growth of this settlement Englands Royal Navy was tasked with transporting hundreds of thousands of english men and woman to the newly named port of Tzogos. After nearly 37 days at sea, they'd arrived at their new island paradise.

Unfortunately it would not be paradise for long. Outbreaks of an unknown sickness took the lives of thousands of these newly immigrated english men and woman. The cause continues to elude those in the medical field, but some believe it to be related to a newly encountered species of rat roaming the island. Recently the Royal Navy has began to eradicate these vermin with moderate success.

More immigrants from England continue to make the long journey to Avonmora for an exciteing new life of modest work and sandy beaches. We can only hope the Navy is able to exterminate these rats in a timely fashion, and that the disease does infact originate with them.

This reminds me of Horatio Nelson and his guild, The Royal Navy(RN). I wonder how many players still remember them. Good roleplay. :)

That effort sank of its own weight of self given medals too.

Still, A for effort, I go back to the staggering realism of a lone British Isle, fighting to hold the last vestiges of empire.

Thank you to both CDV and Black Sparrow, i've been researching both of your histories within the game and find them fascinating. I've also read what i can about Horatio Nelson and his words / actions inspire. I find the game is much more enjoyable when you immerse yourself into it.

Cappy criticising a brag-thread for, um.. bragging?

And whilst England is in the British Isles, the British Isles is not England... there are a few non-English types that live in the non-England parts who think the difference rather matters... as for the British Empire... at least they had one to lose...

Exterminating the Rats

In a dirty hunt to kill the rodents once and for all, the Royal Navy entered the sewers. What they found was beyond expected. Millions of vermin climbing all over one another living in their own filth. With the threat of disease. Admiral Roberts willingly invested 4 Million of his own coin into the project. A new and human friendly poison was constructed which was poored into the sewers by the gallon.

A few days later men were dispatched to the sewers to remove the now very dead black rats. They counted over 1,500,000 rats in the sewers of England alone, now we are paying some of our finest investigators to search the sewers every day, this alone will cost up to 1 million a week to perform.

England thanks all the people that stood by us, during these hard times...

Aye, not to detract from England's losses but Spain as well have suffered losses approaching 100 million citizens from suspected same rats. Investigations failed to show with any certainty what ships the large influx of rats originated from.
