Ads are the answer. We launched a campaign to get 500-1000 more new players and it seems that Philippines is getting the bulk so far. It's random though.

Depends. Maybe they will quit immediately. Maybe they will join a guild and gain some power.

odds are the majority will quit. just look through recently join, it seems like 1 or 2 players stay active for every 20. and that's being generous, and the ones who stay for a really long period of time is even fewer. I bet of the 500-1k people who join due to adds, around 50 will stay active for a while, and maybe 10 be long term players. this game is good, yet so many people play it once and quit.

I play another web page game, and I should tell you, that game have over 3 mill players, but only 300k of them are players that have gone online in the last 7 days.

And I think this game will become like that game, that game has been there for 15 years or so.
