Bottom line:

Ye can control ye own actions, but not of ye adversary.

Argue, debate all ye like. Ye bully a bloke he/she may ignore ye with better things to do, or lay into a bunch of newbies in ye guild, or take out half the population of ye best friend's cousin's port.

Or, he may wait for the opportunity to retaliate in an effective, efficient manner (but I doubt it).

Then, ye retaliate to the retaliation, which escalates until the swag runs low, so it moves into the Union of Honor, which is retaliated against....and the circle of life continues.
