Gambling?

There is alot of downtime in this game and it causes new players to lose interest rather quick BUT the idea of a gambling (For gold possibly credits but i would more say gold) system would be very beneficial very simple click tavern then there would be a link to "gamble" you could offer a variety of games Blackjack (my preference) Poker or maybe even kicking it pirate style with some Liars Dice the ability to gamble for gold coins would bring a whole new aspect to the game also a whole new way for people to make money and not grow bored of playing i know i would spend more hours on this game if i could wager some gold and new players would as well seeing it as fun a way to make money too and besides a tavern without gambling isn't much of a tavern is it?

I completely agree, this is a tavern right? The tavern should have more roles above just the rumors and talk on the forums and such.

I have never seen a movie and or game were someones in a tavern and theres no gambling plus think of the $ to be made and the interest it would spark for new people

I believe they mean the time where nothing else is really able to be done. I've experienced that before, and almost every day. That said I agree with the idea of gambling in the tavern completely.

There's alotta time were people are outa turns so they stop playing but wouldn't it be fun to gamble as you wait for your turns make some $$ while u wait increasing playing time!

Perhaps players could play each other and a npc dealer, you could have them win gold, voodo or turns, they can bet gold, turns, or voodoo for credit from the house. It would add more realistic feel and might get new players into games within the game. Sounds promising.

Great idea! As a new player there are many, many things to learn. Probably enough to keep a new player busy for days after they have used up all 425 turns. But that can get a bit dull because you are reading about how to make gold and not actually doing it. As a new player gambling would be a fun way to make or lose my gold while I wait for my first fleet to return with more ship building materials! As an established player I also want to brag about how many times I have won while gambling at the high-rollers table!!
