Greetings,
Player info must not be posted on public forums. As player info, we regard crystal ball reports, spy network but also any information regarding a player. Such as where his hideout is. A battle report, since it exposes a fleet composition, falls into this.
As public forums, we regard these forums, all in-game tavern forums and all in-game achievements/events forums.
Guild forums are regarded as private. So do Country forums. Especially for the country forums, I am open to disagreement and we can change them to be regarded as public if you think this is better. Please present your arguments for this.
Player private messages cannot be posted at any forums. Including private forums. This creates the most basic argument as to why Country forums should be regarded as private forums. As despite the general notion, it should be quite common to post messages you received even at the guild forums. And none will ever report these so the messages will remain. This is not something that will happen in country forums. So we have a difference here between two private forums.
However, country forums feature rank filtering. Which makes them a bit like guild forums. Not to mention that even I, as an admin, I do not get to view them. I can only view my country's (Scottish boards are peaceful anyway). So, unless there is a country moderator, the forums are regarded as private. I only get to view a message only when it is reported.
For this main reason, I lean to treat them as private. It also saves up moderation work.
I really cannot recall our past way to deal with such. Initially I thought that we deal country forums as private but I am not sure anymore. So, it's up for discussion.
