Legendary Ship Traits discussion

Legendary Ship Traits will have a 1% chance to obtain in a ship.

Man of War ships are able to have levi protection and a legendary trait, but cannot have 3 traits if they have the legendary trait. This is the only ship affected this way by legendary traits.

(Possible future mechanic) Chances to reroll for a legendary trait are 2% to obtain a random legendary trait per roll.

An example of a legendary trait:

Crows nest: Every ship this defeats in a battle is the number of random cards stolen from defenders/attackers inventory. (Success and losses in plunder or skirmish do not determine the effect, only ships defeated by said ship. This effect goes even when the ship is under attack. You can still steal cards from the enemy inventory even if you lose the battle, as long as the traited ship defeats at least 1 ship.)

Another example of a legendary trait:

Voodoo protection: (name of a random specific ship targetting card) & (name of a random specific ship targetting card)

Protects ship from being targetted by the specific cards listed in the name.

Another example: Berserker cannons

Instantly defeats the first ship it faces in a battle. Does not lower the ship level of that defeated ship from this effect or from the battle.

A final example: Golden Sails

Each ship plundered by this ship earns you a random officer.

Thoughts in the idea of legendary ship traits?

I feel that this is just too powerful and broken honestly. I think just basic ship traits is good enough. Not to mention I can see something of a possible paradox involving the berserker cannons. What happens if both ships have this trait? Do they defeat eachother? And what if someone manages to get 5 howkers with this trait? They can literally take out ANY fleet with it. Hell id be tempted to just spam build howkers or cutters til I get them and go plundering.

1 legendary trait per fleet then?:3

Yes the ships would take each other out if that is what you are asking

Here's a thought. Will there be trait affecting voodoo? For example, a curse that temporarily deactivates a ships trait, or one that allows you to replace a ships trait with another randomly selected trait.

There has been talk about it so its possibilty is a given :)
