Newcomer Advisors - Game Paths - You can do it !
Posted: Sat Sep 22, 2018 4:59 pm
We want to add in-game advisors for newcomers.
The newcomer will pick a list of paths that should meet his desire at what he wants to become. Like:
1)Vicious Pirate
2)Social Justice Warrior
3)Background Plotter
4)Rich Banker
5)Battle-Hardened Admiral
6)Fat Trader
7)Respected Nobleman
8)Supreme Ruler
9)Avonmora Master
10)etc
Obviously, the titles above are examples to give you the idea.
What YOU have to do is the following:
1.Pick the title you want.
2.Provide all the steps in how one can accomplish it.
Then we will review your path and if it is good enough, we will publish it like this:
Successful Administrator, by Captain Jack.
The newcomers will be able to pick any from the list. What each player picks will be recorded in their bio:
Like: Pretty Steve has selected the path Mexican Mulemaster by Danik at day 2209
Once you pick a path, you can either desert it (he will be allowed to continue later, for a price,to prevent spam) or complete it. Only if you complete it, you will be able to record an achievement: Completed the path Filthy Rich Trader by Captain Da Vinci in 34 hours
Once the newcomer selects it, based on the progress outlined by the path creator, he will be given the next objective. This is all that the newcomer will be able to see: the next objective. Only if the newcomer manages to beat the next objective, he will be able to continue.
----
Existing players will be able to participate of course on the same rules.
----
Are you interested to create a path? Be our guest.
Here is how to create it.
1)Find a title
2)Think of an end game, where you want to bring your player.
3)Pick a type: Humorous or Educational or Adventurous
Educational should be well measured and serious as newcomers should received solid help.
Humorous can be what you like. It will bring your name after all.
Adventurous - This is for creative paths - Roleplay is required.
4)Pick a difficulty
Available difficulties are:
Very Easy - Easy - Normal - Hard - Very Hard - Impossible
5)Pick if the path resets on abandon
If yes, anyone who deserts it will have to start all over if he takes it again.
If no, people will be able to continue at the point they left it.
6)Design the steps
Every step should be in landmarks. Like the newcomer missions are. Minimum 10 steps.
Here is an example:
Title: The zeroist
End game: Annoy the user
Type: Humorous
Step 1:
Get 100,000 fame
Hint: Use multiple Pirates Tales on victims with 100k fame or less till you manage to gather the amount.
Step 2:
Use a politician speech for the 100k fame, to get gold.
Hint: Buy it from the market, pay at least 10 credits for each.
Step 3:
Get 10M coin
Hint: Keep repeating step 1 and 2 till you raise the amount.
Final Step:
Spend 10M gc in warehouse upgrades.
Hint: Do not use mass upgrade, this is not for real men.

Published Paths will provide a link to the (forthcoming hugely improved) bio page of the creator.
They will also include a small description from administration (as an independent source)
And reviews from those who completed it
Send your plan to us, in both via a PM to #1 AND via Contact Us form (find it in-game, at the footer).

Guideline for difficulties:
Very Easy - A complete newcomer should be able to gradually follow your path. It does not matter if the last challenge is hard. If the path is gradual, taking from the hand from early on, it should be considered very easy.
Easy - It is a very easy path that however is somewhat challenging and long.
Normal - A task that you would not necessarily expect a newcomer to follow it. But it is gradual and with some effort, he would be able to do it.
Hard - This path is long and challenging. It mostly refers to advanced players.
Very Hard - This path requires time and resources. It is really long and some of its steps can only be done by real advanced players.
Impossible - This path is a very hard path that also includes hard to complete objective. Steps are not gradual with each other.
Ridiculous - This path has no real gradual difficulty in every step. You don't know what to expect from this path. It is going to be a nuisance though.
