I don't see it as a popularity contest dez, but rather a democratic who does a good job way of choosing mods. A mod who performs his duties well, would continually be chosen to stay as a mod, while a mod who never does anything, or worse, makes things worse would quickly be removed.

If nothing else, I think it could be worth trying out for a time. If it fails, we go back to how it is now, if it works then great. That being said, I'm open to most ideas at the moment. What works can stay and what doesn't can be removed. Voting in mods would let the community have some say if nothing else.

then whats the need for a mod that mods mods no need for you the community can just democratically pick the head honcho the way cj set it up... oh ... he didn't set it up that way... i wonder why ... and he didn't make it an electoral process for reg mods .... how intriguing .... i wonder why

Could have it be where a few mods are selected by me, but a few spots are made to be selected by the community. I do like the idea of voting. That way, the community feels more involved, and if they have issues with something, they have the means to do something other then message me.

As to dman's question, I don't just mod mods. That is one of my duties, but there are a few others. So if I can delegate the community to help handle mods, then that's fine by me. Again, right now this is like the spitball phase. Talk about possible solutions, that we may or may not use.
