Mustache's Wishlist

I am still fairly new to Pirates Glory (I joined some time in March 2020) so I understand my list will not have the same "umph" that other's may have. I ask you to please thoroughly consider what I have to say.

1. Additional customization to ships, fleets, warehouses, and banks. Things like being able to name warehouses, and even having the name of each ship displayed on the side during battle. Paying extra to pick what type of wood a ship is made of for cosmetic flare. Being able to add a description for your bank.

2. More stylized game layouts. We already have the option to choose "classic" or "spacious" layouts for fleet lists, let's take it further! Be able to choose between dark and light mode. Maybe add some sort of extra style to the game like changing the main colors during holidays and player birthdays, etc.

3. Be able to withdraw ships from the auction if they have no bids. This one can be really annoying. 5 ships were just sitting in the auction for 3 months with no bids and were taking up all my docking space. You should be able to withdraw a ship from the auction if there are no bids on it after a set period of time, say two weeks.

4. Login bonuses. This is one of the only games I have ever played that doesn't have some sort of reward fro logging in multiple days in a row. Here was my idea:

Consecutive days logged in: 1..........2...........3...............4..............5.............6.............7...................8.............9..............10

Reward:.......................2,000 gc...4,000 gc...10,000 gc...100,000 gc...5 credits...10 credits...1 voodoo pack...20 credits...30 credits...50 credits

The reason is that we should be encouraging people to play. This would most likely stop new players from going inactive so soon (or ever).

5. King of Avonmora. Each week a King of Avonmora should be chosen based on the highest influence in all of Avonmora. They could get special stipends taken from the treasury of each port-controlling nation. Maybe 1M gc for each port, making for a whopping 21M stipend. This would boost competition among active players.

6. Gay marriage? Maybe being able to pick "other" instead of male/female in settings?

7. Removal of the option to buy credits with real money. This game should not be buy-to-win. There is the option for you to earn credits manually, but it does not pay off very well. Players should not be divided by class. They should be divided by skill level and experience.

I know #3 has been discussed since I joined, quit, rejoined, quit, rej... Most are in agreement on it but it just hasn't manifested in the game yet.

4. Would this be cyclical or not? I.e. would there be, say, 60 consecutive day prizes and on day 61 you would reset back to day 1?

5. Perhaps this could be a weekly vote from players instead of based on influence. I know that I have no need for influence because I'm a scoundrel pirate so I would never be considered under these guidelines. Fame and influence are limited in this regard

6. I don't recall anyone ever having an objection to the current M/F, reason being it adds a in a lot of needless debates into the fray. If you were to marry a Governor's daughter in the past, it was cut and dried on what your gender was

I guess I had assumed that if you got all of the log in bonuses that you were playing too much and therefor it wouldn't hurt to reset :D

The weekly vote isn't a bad idea, I was just thinking about how things were in the pirate age, usually no one voted for leaders. (I guess following those guidelines there wouldn't be gay marriage or non-binary genders, either)

Pirates did vote Mustache - you've done it again -

Pirates were organised criminal gangs. They voted for their captains which in turn 'entitled' them mutiny or opposition should the captain appear a little rogue. They operated under a strict democratic system and penalties were harsh for doing the wrong thing. Go and read up a bit ...

I dont mind the idea of a rolling login bonus

I know they voted for their captains, but any form of official governing body was in no way democratic, but rather monarchist. That's why an overlord of Avonmora wouldn't historically be accurate if voted in, but would probably make for better game play if that was the case.

Yes, they did.

You added more info rather than say, 'Oh...did they?" or similar - hmm...the need to be right over being factual? lol

You could be right, although I think we are talking about different things still. Whatever, I'm not gonna fuss.
