Bermuda Daily - Issue #91: Boney M :-)
1974: a German producer, Frank Farian (already appeared here on Radio Bermuda: Issue #36) had the idea to form an ensemble of caribbean performers to release his music.
The three girls and a guy became quite popular. Their songs were usually written by Farian but performed on stage by the band. Many songs of them became hits and pretty well known.
We chose one from their repertory and we present it today on Radio
Bermuda one of their first hits. Here is Daddy Cool by Boney M..
I'm not sure but the voice should be Farian himself.
Out of curiosity: the name Boney M. came after a German tv serie named Boney.
Have fun!
