Bermuda Daily - Issue #66: Italia a mano armata

Calibro 35 is an Italian band born in 2007. All of the members were from jazz and funk past bands. Their first album was meant to catch the mood of the police stories from the 70s. In those years Italian movies were often about police and crime exploitation (similar to, for example, the US Dirty Harry movies), sometimes known as spaghetti crime that later evolved into the so-called Eurocrime. They chose their name after the word caliber, used so often in those movie, and 35 to refer the film format, 35 millimeters.

Radio Image Bermuda suggests today the listening of Summertime Killer, written in 1972 by Luis Bacalov for the namesake movie, and here performed in 2008 by Calibro 35.

Have a movie evening and see you soon.
