Lets get back to 2001 when Damon Albarn from Blur decided to join the cartoonist and writer Jamie Hawlett in the project Gorillaz. This should have been a cartoon band. Their first single was named after Clint Eastwood, for it was inspired to this actor roles in Sergio Leone movies.
Thru the years the director/actor never commented about it, as one would expect from him.
