We read all suggestions.

Dear authors. Even in the previous era, when credits reached the level of half a million, it was a problem to sell some cheaper ships in the bazaar. However, at the moment when the price can go up to 1.5 million, practically all ships except SoL are unsaleable. And even those cannot be differentiated from each other by price anymore. That's why I suggest dividing the credit into cents. 10,20,30 etc. Cents would only be used for selling (buying) ships, not for trading. So the cheapest ship could be sold for 10 cents. If that can't be put into the game, then set up some place where I can sink those ships. They just aren't for sale anymore. Thanks for understanding.

This has been brought up before. However i agree.

Changing credit prices by 10x or 100x per gc gamewide would increase flexibility of their usage. Adding .0 or.00 places would do the same thing.

You can currently sell ships to shipwright.

I actually like the idea of being able to scuttle your own ships.
If they are out of fleet. The ship scuttles to its current port.
The ship becomes a shipwreck and can be taken by tidal wave or wreck hunt. It should be possible to recover your own ship unless someone else recovers it first.

I dont see any potentail exploit for this.

This has been suggested previously. I don't see cents or fractional credits being implemented.

To WoE suggestion, I believe CJ specifically said no to that idea even though there is an approved topic, although I'm more in favor of that method than cents/fractions.

I would suggest selling your ships to the shipwright.

It has also been suggested before but it would be worthwhile for ships on the ship market that haven't sold either automatically be sold to the shipwright after X days (90+ at minimum) or allow the seller to sell to the shipwright from the ship market.

I do like the idea of being able to remove ships after being at auction for a lengthy period of time.

Im not to sure about the whole cents thing versus credits only because how are the attributes and traits valued exactly? That seems to be more of a personal preference. just a guess on how much to sell it for based on the average going price. And then there are ships being sold because of sentiment. Or out of a grudge or in hopes to avoid Dez’s pure glee to be sold to the shipwright to make people cry or something.

I was thinking of the ability to scuttle out of fleet ships, that are still in your own inventory,
but I now realize that the OP was suggesting scuttling from the market.

If your ships is not selling, options to remove it from market could be any or all of these.

1 - pool - ability to combine a lot of ships into 1 auction ( could fix the credit price problem )
like selling a 20 howker lot in a single auction. market Slots would still count per ship, but they would sell as a block.
2 - shipwright - ability to end auction by direct sale to shipwright
3 - scuttle - ability to end the auction by sinking to a random and unspecified port

You just like the idea of being able to sink your own ships don’t you Willy? What is that like the final frontier you haven’t conquered yet?

Lately the ship buying has been excellent, but I remember a time when there wasn't a single buyout all year. I had to buy 300 places in the bazaar and build exclusively SoL, otherwise I wouldn't even have a thousand places. Note that there are only a few types of ships still being built, the others have died out. And that's because they can't be sold, you have to wait to buy them. The problem is, if I want battleships +8 guns or +20 cargo, then I need to build an average of 8 ships to hit one. What about all the others... I don't want them, I need to sell them and maybe for a few chups, or really sink them and only market quality ships so I don't have to be ashamed of myself for selling them.

Wow your luck is better then mine building ships! If they s**k then I just sell them to shipwright…and why on earth would you feel ashamed to be selling a “non worthy” ship? People will buy anything to replace the ones lost during a raid. Besides in case you haven’t noticed Feniks has been mostly raiding the inactives because he lost his mojo. Willy will hit anything that moves but with One Eye he just ends up hitting anything that gets in his path. Dman only targets NPS and doesn’t really take their ships. And that basically it for awhile now. Dullsville.
