[Suggestion] Official List of Demands & more

I rarely like the idea of adding voodoo cards; that said, the Official List of Demands thread clearly stated an adjustment is needed.

It was suggested that the card worked like Blacklist, but instead of banks, OLoD would affect warehouses - I personally liked the idea.

Right now, OLoD works in a class like Pirate Tales and Booty Master, but it seems out of place - it may need a new class of its own....

We might explore cards that would affect ports - particularly warehouses, plantations and markets.

The Official List of Demands sounds like one that should affect plantations; workers refusing to work, thus shutting down production at a plantation.

Boycott could be a card that shuts the victim out of the markets - no buying or selling.

Warehouse curses could be two actions:

1) Pier Raiders would work like the current OLoD, only caster would choose the commodity to raid.

2) Dock Strike would close all access to the warehouses, nothing in our out of the warehouses.

I present these as concepts for the functions and game play, and as such, could use some tweaking, to say the least.

I may be mistaken, but if I recall, there were rumors to eventually replace party cards, and these curses would take their place.

To help compensate for these attack cards (which I would suggest be uncommon or rare like OLoD) is to move Blacklist to rare, and all the India Trading Company cards to common if party cards are replaced.

This is a suggestion to explore, and discussion is encouraged to find a solution for OLoD, if change of it is warranted.

Dock Strike...I like it...
Could that mean all warehouses in the port for x amount of time or targeted single player?
(Sorry if it is obv to others..I havent used the card)

It could be set up like the Blacklist curse - turns plus so many turns with a max of 24 hours. Probably not quite, as it would probably only target one port at a time....and probably single player ....

Still pondering that, and looking for input....

I personally think it should be single player, but target all of their warehouses.

I don't mind the idea of targeting and nickn' a of a vast % of one nominated resource , one warehouse, one port at a cast..

Cant be stacked.

I would be ok with a "Dock Strike" card

Single Player, Single Warehouse

With a little home work you can find out where a players "Hideout" port is. Also it is very easy to see where a players largest Plantation port(s) are at.

I think Uncommon is good. 8 turns to cast. Lasts 4 hours. Each additional 1 turns last an extra hour. ???

To this day, I do not understand why this card needs to change. Plantation owners face no negatives. It seems to me the OloD card as it sits now is a worthy card.

It is a way to put a bit of risk into plantations.

What about a card that cause worker strike causing no production or workers to leave or even die?

As written, OLoD could do that. multiple cast of OLoD could reduce food supply enough that workers would use remaining food supply quickly(less than a day). As well as other resources.
