[Suggestion] Official List of Demands & more

We are always looking for ways to improve the game. In fact, since the beginning player suggestions had played a major part in game design.

We read all suggestions.

If Plant land wars are relegated to throwing a voodoo curse at a plant to harm it, you are correct that I will not like it and what I see currently is the misconception that plant owners sit and rake in millions of gc with no effort and pirates have to go out and hustle for their daily bread.

No the idea isn't just throwing a voodoo curse, but voodoo shouldn't just be tossed to the side. Also to note that while party cards currently work, there is a plan to remove them, just how they are phased out and replaced with just hasn't been determined yet.

I agree that voodoo cannot be just thrown to the side.
It too is a necessary part of the game but it should not become the crutch to replace basic game metrics and coding.

Well maybe this idea could merge into the Witch Doctors hut idea and its in that hut that one can make the "legendary voodoo" to attack planation's outputs...

Just trying to get the creative juices flowing :P :P :P

Not a bad idea to make Legendary Voodoo the direct plantation hitters, although that still doesn't solve the problem with what do with OLOD. I'm still leaning with make the Player Resource Market Anonymous and leave OLOD as it was. You can't see who is selling, just amounts and prices, thus returning to some extent the chance of OLOD not hitting target.

Why does it need change at all? Just leave everything as it is and reactivate it. It will still be a medium strong card at most.

True, but it gives an advantage to knowing where and how much someone has stored in their warehouse.

Yes, that makes it slightly stronger than it was. But it will not be too strong. Not by a long shot. You will need lots of cards to do serious damage, as it targets a random resource. Also, although it was slightly harder before, it wasn't THAT hard to figure out where people had large warehouses. This is a constructed, imaginary problem. Better to focus on REAL issues.

I think this is correct. Fertile Lands went for a good while before a use for them was found that was quite suited IMO.

To just try to get some new found use for the card right away is not necessary and a more agreeable use will show itself in time.

To try to mount an offensive attack on a fledgling industry that is not the big earner some think it may be is not conducive to balanced gameplay.
It could hurt the gameplay actually.
If you think banking, goldsmithing or even marina's are sacrosanct because they are personal high priced investments, I submit that so are plantations where acreage rental competitions and operating permissions are a constant drain on the income stream and the price to get a plant developed so it can run a basic 8 hours with no ill effects cost many many more times than a bank, goldsmith or marina.

I disagree with this. I think it should be possible to attack plantations - and I even think there should be a way to profit from it. If plantations are "hardly profitable" (which I believe is wrong - I think one can earn a lot from plantations), then other parameters should be adjusted. We should not have "safe" income. Fighting over resources and income is a good thing. No income should be risk free; the higher the income, the higher the risk should be, in my opinion. And it is very possible to get large incomes from plantations.
