THE RENT IS JUST TO DAMN HIGH (Turns)

We are always looking for ways to improve the game. In fact, since the beginning player suggestions had played a major part in game design.

We read all suggestions.

THE RENT IS JUST TO DAMN HIGH (Turns)

Postby Shadowood » Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:38 pm

Turn cost needs to be adjusted.

25 credits for 200 turns is just flat out REDICULUS. I could see in the old days when there was no turn cap that you would want to protect this with a high credit cost for turns. But now with turn cap, this cost needs to come down.

25 credits is currently equal to almost $8,000,000 gold coins! There is no way any sailor can recoup the cost of adding extra turns.

I formally request the extra turns be lowered to:

50 Turns - 3 credit
100 Turns - 5 credits
200 Turns - 10 credits
I don't fear death. I look forward to it with great anticipation. For then I will met God face to face and let him know that I stole his Man of War!!!

I also find myself lacking turns most days. And buying turns is only worth it in a few, rare cases. The solution should be to give players called "Haron" five times as many turns as others, of course...

Hey, I want some too!
But yes, I agree. The price is ridicolous for what you get, and really rarely be the right choice to make - if profit is what you're going for.

Yes, now that you mention it, it is quite a rip off. Maybe the prices should be dynamic to credit prices and not fixed? We could start by applying Shadow's suggested prices and then as the credit market changes so could the price of turns to make sure that you are always paying roughly the same amount.

Yep.

Pretty outrageous prices without even being able to get a high turn count from it. One of the numbers needs to be changed! Either let me get my turns for less credits, or more turns with the same credits.

Or alternatively, remove the turn cap. If I want to spend millions on turns still time gated to be possible only in 12 hour intervals and put my normal turn generation on halt after I pass the soft cap of 400, let me!

If I'm not mistaken, you can buy turns that will bring your count over the cap, but you will just stop earning turns per 10 minutes. With enough credits and time, you could get to 10,000 turns if you really wanted to. It would take an awfully long time, however.

Wrong, Mustache. There's a 600 turn cap. No one can ever have more than 600 turns.

Before that was imposed, years ago, Nelson used to buy up to over a thousand turns, doing very nice raids. I'm not sure imposing that restriction was a good idea, but here we are.

Oh, I was unaware of a solid turn cap. So what would happen if I had 595 turns and bought 50 turns? Would I not be allowed to, or would I just end up spending credits for only 5 turns?
