The Ghost Ship

So Tidal Waves seem to me to have little value for their insane price. When cast, 99% of the time you get a level 1 crap trade ship.

So I introduce, The Ghost Ship.

What are Ghost Ships?
God ships are ships that are level 11-20 (minimum of 44 attributes to max of 100). They are historical ships that used to be owned by real pirates. Example Willaim Kidd's "Blessed William" ship would be a Ghost Ship.

And what be the properties of such a ship?
- Ghost Ships cannot have voodoo applied to them (EXCEPT FOR SHIP WEAKENING VOODOO AND RAVAGE).
- They can not be stored in a Marina, and can never be buffed.
- The tail ransom for a Ghost ship is ((10,000*its level)+10% of the Original Tail price for its type of ship).
- Ghost ships cannot be sold or commandeered. They can ONLY be defleeted.
- The owner of a ghost ship gets 25k fame per day addition.
- All Ghost ships are Brig of Wars - Man of Wars.
- Ghost Ships never lose a level, and will never be sunk.


How many be out there?
As much as there are pirates in Nation Missions. 1 Ghost Ship per pirate at nation missions.



Where can I retrieve one?
Only by Tidal Waves. 1/1000 chance or defleeting one of a current owner.

Ex of a tail ransom: Frigate Level 15 named "Blessed William"

10,000*15(level of the ship) = 150,000 ransom.

Now a frigate is 198,000 on Shipwright, so 10% of that is 19,800 gold.

So 150,000 ransom + 19,800 ransom = 169,800 ransom in total.

169,800 is the tail ransom for a "Blessed William"

If you got one of these ships at lvl 11, can you use MC to raise it up to lvl 20?

So how many ships would ADMIN "bury" on the sea floor. How many total would there be to start with?

I like the concept and it has "kinda" been suggested before.

Both Meliva and I suggested something to enhance the Tidal Wave card

Meliva's retrieves a fleet of 5 ships, while mine retrieves a Brig or Better (no more Howkers)

At this time I think your Ghost ship might be a little OP... I will think some more, but I do like the concept.

One last note, when Ship Abilities come out, hopefully we get use of the "Flag Ship" designation where we will have a ship that is special in someway like what you are describing in Ghost Ship.

Not really OP. Sure it may be possible you get a attribute 100 MoW from Sir Henry Morgan, but that is highly unlikely. And you could easily lose it. Possible this could jump start some battles and rise the notorious fame.

So admin would build a code that says, If Ghost Ship is won, then RNG Ship Type, then RNG Ship Lvl and ATT?

Wouldn't it be best to just pre-select the ship types, lvls and att and sink them? Let the player base know that these "20" ships exist. Good luck?

I think a set number on these ships would be best, giving their power. No more then 20 should sail these seas. (currently anyway)

You saying a possible lvl 100 att MOW is not OP is like saying PHX is a noob. Just doesn't add up.

I am not particularly fond of this idea. if I got a legendary ship like this I would sell it first thing. maybe level it up a bit then sell it. but since you cant sell it you have to keep it. and I would not want a legendary ship, since odds are, once some pirates find out I have one, they will try to take it. it would make me or any player who gets it a target. it would be an even bigger prize then a MoW, but it would probably just constantly change hands. say I "luck" out and get the 100 att MoW, well now every pirate and his mother wants that ship, I get the snot beat out of me, someone else gets it, and now every pirate and his mother attacks him. I suppose it WOULD bring some action, but the ship itself would just go around like a game of hot potato.
