Transition of Power

Rare

Cost: 24 turns

Removes 100,000-900,000 (random) of your influence points at target port A, your influence at target port B increases by 90% of that.

I like this idea, but I think it would make it way too easy to take over ports. Because someone like xProx who has 27,000,000 influence in Tortuga can use a bunch of these cards and take over a port that doesn't have too high of an influence like Akrotiri and not have to worry about USA losing Tortuga because they have over 130,000,000 influence.

Makes it harder to do mass influence increases.

My thinking is that right now I have around 29M influence, and I'm a duke of Spain. Naturally, most of my influence is in Spanish ports. My thinking (completely hypothetical) is that if I wanted to switch to a new nation, let's say Tokelau, I would be able to within a few days switch most of my influence in Tokelau-owned ports without having to spend another 300M.

One of the functions inf is a gold sink. you will notice inf gets lost every day and its takes alot of gold constantly feeding the inf of a port to hold it and thats by design.

This card would allow easy port takeovers for someone resourceful. Dump 6 mil inf in each port (stay kinda off radar ish) the cast some cards and load up one port. Just a thought

You can sheer a sheep many times, but only skin it once!

Well each cast burns through 24 turns and if you are extremely lucky every cast will round up 900K influence... so say you had 400 turns at hand, which is even a lot for most people:

400/24=16 if you round down

16*900,000=14,000,000

14M influence is not usually enough to take over a port. And that's if you are lucky. Say that you actually ended up with the average (550K) every cast:

16*550K=8,800,000

Again, no where near enough to take a port.

So unless 5 or more people decided to switch all at once and they had double turns storage plus they bought 200 extra turns, a port takeover would be difficult. And between the price for extra turns and the price of the turns themselves, it would actually be cheaper to just takeover a port the old-fashioned way.

:)

It's not bad, but would not see much use I do not think.

Not many cases where you want to transfer influence in one port to another. Even for ranking missions, Most folks aside from Clock and Davinci don't move nations and rank up often. I'd rather not have a bunch of these cards in my voodoo chest. I do not see them being very valuable, or used very often.

Gonna go with -1.
