Ability to Upgrade Ships On Market

I see your point; I can see why some people would like to see a change - however, if there were anyway to get a ship off the market, believe me, there are enough creative gamers out there who will find a way to "cheat" or take advantage of the situation where the system is abused to the point beyond what was intended.

I personally like the system as is - once a ship is on the market, it is stuck there until sold. It is simple, straight foward and it affects all styles of play the same. I would like to see the ability to perhaps upgrade it in an effort to improve its value and get it sold, ie, howkers, sloops, etc. as sometimes it's hard to justify even a price of 1 credit for these vessels.

+1!
I think this would solve the problem of impossible-to-sell low level howkers/cutters/sloops. As long as there are no bids I would like to be able to pay to upgrade my ships on the market.

+1 as well.
Seems the easiest solution!

i would also suggest a pop up warning when offering a ship up for auction warning that once submitted ships can not be removed but have to be sold

How about an option to sell a ship on the market, not currently being bid on, back to the Shipwright (normal 70% value rules apply)? It provides a route to remove unwanted ships from the market without creating any loopholes / using existing game functionality.

Obviously it would be paid in gc, rather than cr, but I don't see any problem with that - again, it utilises existing game functionality.
