If you try to buy resources, you can only see what is offered.
It would be good to see how much you have of that resource and current warehouse capacity to improve your purchase decision. It would also be nice to see the average price sold by all ports markets through both players and by the game.

dont you want your compitition to have to think a little bit, instead of having a good buy and bad buy indicator?

Why on earth would anyone waste time doing that in a game... just keep hitting buttons until you win or get killed.. then start again.. simple.

Not a real issue derives from this, and i do agree mack on this one. Disapprove simply because if you buy too much of a resource, either use it up or make more room in your warehouse

Same argument can be made against voodoo market average card price, and the port prices that was built it before the open market. All of these are tools for players to make better buying decisions

Average card price and your warehouse stock are two different measures. It would be more difficult to calculate the average than to simply click market to view your warehouse. This is where i draw the point i make with mack.

So a display of all ports or a way to navigate between ports in that view is more acceptable?

I think this suggestion brings forth points where the game lacks in. From a pure business perspective, the ability to view details of your inventory, current inventory purchase price/costs, etc. are crucial.

So reports that provide cross analysis and advanced data, should be developed. Even if the reports are not as complex as wanted, more readily available data will be a driving force for players who wish to expand their "industry".
